Beyond the first EPD: Choosing the right approach for your organisation
For many organisations, the journey into Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) begins with a clearly defined need: to produce a first declaration. There is often a deadline to meet, a specific product in focus, and a business case that justifies the effort. In that context, it is natural that the conversation centres around time, cost, and how to complete the process as efficiently as possible. However, once the first EPD has been delivered, a different set of questions tends to emerge. The real challenge is rarely the production of a single declaration, but rather how to manage many declarations over time, keep them up to date, and ensure that the underlying data can be reused across an increasing number of requirements.
