Daniel Olausson to Speak at ECO Platform Conference on the Future of Digital EPDs

Daniel Olausson, Chief Product Officer at BIMobject and co-founder of EandoX, is set to speak at the upcoming ECO Platform conference, “The Use of Digital EPDs for Building LCA: User Journeys Along the Dataflow,” on May 13th in Brussels. This full-day event brings together industry leaders, policy experts, and tech innovators to discuss the role of digital Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in Building Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)—a topic where Daniel’s expertise runs deep.

Driving Sustainability Together

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a track record of leading sustainability and product development initiatives, Daniel has long been at the intersection of data, technology, and environmental responsibility. As a LEED AP BD+C and a recognized leader in the digital building space, he brings a strategic lens to how businesses can align sustainable practices with profitability.

At BIMobject, Daniel is spearheading efforts to make sustainability data more actionable—helping manufacturers and architects make smarter, more climate-conscious decisions through connected digital workflows. Daniel is also the co-founder of EandoX, an EPP software that uses AI to help businesses stay compliant and drive impactful sustainability improvements.

When asked about the upcoming conference in Brussels, Daniel says:

“What I’m most looking forward to is seeing how different parts of the ecosystem—tool providers, manufacturers, LCA experts—are approaching the same challenge from different angles. There’s huge potential in aligning these efforts through open data flows and shared standards. That’s where real progress happens.”

A Crucial Moment for the Industry

The conference comes at a time of shifting regulations in the EU, including the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), Construction Products Regulation (CPR), and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). These changes raise the bar on transparency and data integration across the product lifecycle.

The event will spotlight how digital EPDs and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) can support that shift—bringing together EPD Programme Operators, LCA consultants, BIM providers, and manufacturers to map the future of sustainable construction.
